Young local lady commits suicide after  break-up with foreigner husband by suffocation

This morning @ 8:30 the 9th of July 2022, Police Lt. Col. Mr Atichart Pho-ah from the Sam re Police Station received a notification of a body found in a parked car on Soi Cha roen Nakhon 34/1, Bang Lamphu Lang, Khlong San District, Bangkok.


Police forensic officers and Forensic doctor from Chulalongkorn Hospital responded and visited the scene with the Ruam Katanyu Foundation.

     The scene of the incident was on Charoen Nakhon Road, in front of the Krung Thai Bank. A silver Nissan, model Tierna with registration KO RO 8243 BKK was found on the scene with the cars sun visors closed. The parked car was found with the front facing Khlong San. Police checked the car to find a deceased body on the drivers seat which was reclined in a sleeping position.

 

      After some investigation, the deceased body was confirmed to be Ms Napitchaya Thepa,  39 year old, laying on her back wearing a yellow shirt with black skirt. The officers then tried to open the car but all doors was locked. After waiting for the locksmith, the women’s body was removed from the car to check for a pulse but unfortunately she already passed away.

 
      Inside the car police found her grey bag, a bag of charcoal, 1 empty wine bottle,1 bottle of water, 2 pots, a roll of tissue and a stainless-steel tray. Police suspect the women used these items to plan her suicide.

      Later the deceased husband, a Lithuanian national, came to the scene clearly in distress and saddened to see his former wife has passed away. It was reported later that the deceased husband was previously on the 7th of July at about 6pm at the Pak Klongsan police station to report the deceased missing and gave details of the cars registration which matches the car found today.

 
    An eye witness Ms Panurak Wanjan 75 years old said that 8am she walked passed to buy chicken rice and noticed the parked car. Later the afternoon she passed again and still the car was parked but thought she was still in the bank or waiting for a friend.

The next   morning a taxi driver asked the eyewitness if she saw the car parked yesterday or not. Then she knew something was wrong.
 
       After talking to the villagers it is confirmed the deceased's car had been parked since 7 o'clock yesterday morning until this morning that it was still parked, so they tried to knock on the car, but no one responded. When the police saw the car of the deceased parked in a no-parking area, looked inside the car and saw that someone was sleeping and thought he was sleeping, so he didn't care because the car had started. The officer then tried to knock again and saw that the deceased was asleep, not interested in anything, had to follow the locksmith to open it until found dead. As for the cause of the death, the deceased after a break-up with her foreign husband consulted with her sister to help but still committed suicide.

         Officers brought the body of the deceased to Chulalongkorn Hospital for forensic autopsy before releasing her to relatives for religious ceremonies.
