Amazing Nong Nooch Tropical Garden Pattaya cut a sea coconut as huge as a hundred thousand

Sea coconut was cut down, worth one hundred thousand baht. Twin coconuts were found worth almost a million baht.  The plan to conserve rare plants is to be implemented.


Mr. Aman Issemov, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Thailand, and a delegation watched "Sea Coconuts" at the Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden in Pattaya, Sattahip District, Chonburi Province, under the leadership of Mr. Kamphon Tansajja, the garden's president, who also brought the rarest seven sea coconuts for the delegation to observe being peeled. One of them had two shells in a single coconut, valued at a total of 800,000 baht, with plans to reproduce for further preservation.


The Kazakh ambassador was assisted in planting a sea coconut tree at the palm garden by Mr. Kampol Tansajja, president of Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden in Pattaya. To collectively conserve and reduce greenhouse gas generation, which is currently a serious issue with climate change, saplings worth 500,000 Baht were planted.

For sea coconut, it is categorized as a type of in the Seychelles Islands in the Indian ocean, Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden. There are 36 coconut trees, 4 males and 7 females, while the other 25 are still unidentified. For the value of the sea coconut fruit or twin coconuts, it is about 100,000 baht per fruit, while the baby with 2 shells is worth 200,000 baht.

Twin Coconut, Tan Talay coconut, Negro ass coconut or sea coconut in which a name in French is Coco de mer meaning "sea coconut". In the past, seafarers would find sea coconuts in the water, but no one has ever seen the tree that produces them. As a result, it is assumed that there was once a tree beneath the water. Some take it a step farther. Eve, Adam's wife, was misled into eating what is thought to be the fruit of paradise and possibly the fruit of immortality. As a result, jewels have become more rare and exotic than the sea coconut. And without a doubt, this odd fruit will be served to the king or sultan, or any other prominent person in the kingdom, to enhance their reputation or serve as a mystical cure-all.

It was listed as the largest fruit seed in the Guinness Book, weighing between 10 and 20 kg each. It takes up to 7 years for the fruit to mature, and it must be between 20 and 40 years old before it blooms, grows, and lives up to 400 years. Male and female are separated. Before the taproot spreads out and sprouts into the earth, the fruit is left to stand on the soil for a year. Male sea coconut trees can grow to be several feet long and have trunks as tall as 30 meters before they begin to sprout leaves after one year.

       ทั้งนี้นายกัมพล ตันสัจจา ประธานสวนนงนุชพัทยา ได้นำคณะท่านทูตคาซัคสถานร่วมกันปลูกต้นมะพร้าวทะเล ในสวนปาล์มโลก โดยต้นกล้าที่ปลูกมีมูลค่า 500,000  บาท เพื่อเป็นการร่วมกันอนุรักษ์และลดการสร้างก๊าซเรือนกระจกที่เป็นปัญหาใหญ่ของการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพอากาศในปัจจุบัน

 สำหรับมะพร้าวทะเล จัดเป็นปาล์มชนิดหนึ่ง มีถิ่นกำเนิดอยู่ที่หมู่เกาะซีเซลล์ ในมหาสมุทรอินเดีย สวนนงนุชพัทยา มีมะพร้าวทะเล 36 ต้น เป็นตัวผู้ 4 ต้น ตัวเมีย 7 ต้น ส่วนอีก 25 ต้น ยังไม่ทราบเพศ สำหรับมูลค่าผลมะพร้าวทะเล หรือมะพร้าวแฝด อยู่ที่ประ มาณผลละ 100,000 บาท
ส่วนลูกที่มีกะลา 2 ใบ มีมูลค่า 200,000 บาท มะพร้าวแฝด, ตาลทะเล  มะพร้าวตูดนิโกร หรือ มะพร้าวทะเล มีชื่อในภาษาฝรั่งเศสว่า Coco de mer แปลว่า "มะพร้าวทะเล" สาเหตุที่ถูกขนานนามอย่างนี้เพราะว่า พวกเดินเรือในอดีตจะพบลูกมะพร้าวทะเลอยู่ในมหาสมุทร แต่ไม่มีใครเคยพบเห็นต้นของมัน จึงสันนิษฐานว่าคงมีต้นอยู่ใต้ทะเล บ้างก็ไปไกลยิ่งกว่านั้น คือเชื่อว่าคงเป็นผลไม้จากสวรรค์แน่ ๆ และอาจจะเป็นผลไม้แห่งความอมตะที่อีฟ ภรรยาอาดัม ถูกหลอกให้กินก็ได้นาน ๆ ครั้งจะมีผู้พบเห็นมะพร้าวทะเลถูกคลื่นซัดเข้าฝั่ง มะพร้าวทะเลจึงกลายเป็นของแปลกและหายากยิ่งกว่าเพชรพลอย และแน่นอนผลไม้พิสดารนี้ก็จะถูกนำไปถวายให้แก่คนที่สำคัญที่สุดในแผ่นดิน นั่นคือกษัตริย์หรือสุลต่าน ไว้ประดับบารมีหรือเป็นยาวิเศษรักษาสารพัดโรค  
   ในหนังสือกินเนส ระบุว่าเป็นเมล็ดผลไม้ที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในโลกมีน้ำหนักที่วัดได้ลูกละ 10-20 กิโลกรัม และกว่าผลจะสุก ต้องใช้เวลาถึง 7 ปี กว่าจะเติบโตออกดอกออกผลได้ต้องมีอายุ 20 ปี ถึง 40 ปี และมีอายุยืนถึง 400 ปี แบ่งออกเป็นเพศผู้และเพศเมีย ผลตั้งบนดินหนึ่งปีถึงจะมีรากแก้วงอกออกมาแล้วชอนไชเข้าไปในดิน มีความยาวหลายฟุต ก่อนที่จะเริ่มมีใบออกมาปีละ 1 ใบ โดยต้นมะพร้าวทะเลเพศผู้ มีลำต้นสูงถึง 30 เมตร
