Mr. Thongchai Manangkong, the Premier of Klong Niyom Yatra, presided over the opening of the most popular local sports fair, on November 6th at the "Yatra Canal Snapper Farmers Enterprises" in Klong Yai Yatra (Subdistrict) in Bang Bo District, Samut Prakan Province. Tourism and sports for Thai citizens and foreigners should thus be promoted and consolidated.
For the inhabitants of Klong Niyom Yatra, the main source of income is sea bass. The breeding area for sea bass is well over 2,000 rai and the total annual yield of sea bass "White Snapper" is between 4,000-5,000 tons and more, which are delivered throughout Thailand and abroad.
The competition is carried out together with many other organizations that have joined to sustainably help and promote the sea bass farmers, it was also considered to open restaurants and hotels to further strengthen the district of Bang Bo, thus promoting tourism in the long term.
Sea bass is an excellent agricultural product, not only in Thailand, it has been bred here for more than 40 years and experience and work is passed on from generation to the next generation.
The winners of the competition will receive prizes that will be presented by the Director General of the Ministry of Fisheries on 16 November 2022 to all the winners who opened the Sea Bass Food Festival @ Klong Yong Yatra.
From 16 to 20 November 2022, all visitors are invited to eat sea bass in a variety of tasty dishes at the event and purchase processed sea bass products, including sea bass meatballs, sea bass sausages, frozen ready-to-eat sea bass and many other community products that seriously help promote tourism and thus give people a better life.
The people had fun, the farmers, the cooks, the cheerleaders and Uncle Tu, he danced with the cheerleaders.
